Full monuments, be it veteran tombstone or war memorials are usually made of natural stone and the site is covered with a headstone and a slab. A person should take into consideration about the style of the monument or memorial that is permitted in the cemetery. The decision for the right type of memorial should be made when the person holds the right to the site. There are a numbers of options available in the memorials and headstone category and the prices vary considerably. If granite or natural stone is used for making memorial, then factors such as size, adornments, design, labor and the source of the memorial components can also determine the pricing.
When a person purchases a monument from the cemetery, monumental mason needs to submit an application to the authority of the cemetery. The details and plan of the proposed monument is also given to the authority. A nominal fee is charged by the cemetery staff so as to ensure that the monument will be placed on the correct location or site. The application has to be checked and the authority should conform about the details, plan and design of the monument to be placed.
